What if there were no emojis? That would be a world difficult to imagine.
Earlier, our conversations had words and words only, but today it is not just words, emojis have also become an inseparable part of our conversations.
A few years ago, there were only a handful of emojis with basic expressions like Happy, Sad, Laughter, Crying, Anger, etc.
But today we have emojis for every single thing. Not just expressions, we have emojis for objects as well.
Emojis are everywhere. It has become so popular that they are even making a movie on it.
Because of its high popularity, Google Play Store is flooded with a good number of emoji apps.

You can pick from four Emoji Style – EmojiOne, Twitter’s Twemoji, Emojis by Google and the default emojis in your device.
Apart from emojis, Facemoji has a lot to offer too. You can customize the keyboard by choosing from tons of themes or by setting your own picture as background.
Facemoji also has a huge collection of Stickers and GIFs. The app also lets you send Emojis combo – a combination of different emojis to convey a message.

Update: Removed from the Play Store
An amazing keyboard, a huge collection of emojis and customization abilities. Mix all of these and you’ll get Kika Emoji Keyboard.
It has a crazy collection of emojis – Samsung emojis, color emojis, cube emojis, Halloween emojis and Christmas emojis, just to name a few.
And the app doesn’t stop here. It also offers GIFs from Giphy and an awesome collection of stickers.
They also have minion stickers. Minion fan, any?
The keyboard has loads and loads of themes. It lets you set piano, guitar or saxophone as key press sound. And along with that, it also has an inbuilt font-picker.
The presence of basic keyboard functions, like slide to type, word and emoji suggestion, just adds value to this already feature-packed keyboard.
4. Gboard – the Google Keyword
Gboard is hands down the best keyboard app that you can download now. Google has done a remarkable job with their very own keyboard.
With a good number of emojis, Google has also added an option to search emojis within the keyboard. Emoji predictions were also darn good. You can even draw an emoji and it will predict the emoji based on your drawing.
Apart from emojis, Gboard also has GIFs and GIF search.
The keyboard has Google search inbuilt. You can Google search anything right from your keyboard and share the results with your friends.
It also supports Google translate. (Translate on the go!)
It supports over 120 languages and swipe-to-type (Glide typing).
If you are a Google fan who is looking for a great emoji keyboard then go ahead and download Gboard for free.
5. Bitmoji
Bitmoji is a bit different. Different in a good way.
The app lets you create your own super personalized avatar and comes up with stickers with that avatar. And the fun part is actually creating the avatar.
I was amazed by seeing just how many personalization options the app has to offer. From the shape of your face to the wrinkles around your eyes, from your headwear to entire outfit, you can create an avatar which looks exactly like you. And this is the best part of the app.
You can have your own stickers shared on any platform. Bitmoji also integrates well with GBoard. You can access Bitmoji stickers directly from the GBoard Keyboard.
Using Bitmoji on Snapchat unlocks a new feature called friendmoji through which you can get stickers with yours and your friends’ avatar. Interesting.
By the way, Bitmoji was an independent app but was later acquired by Snapchat.

6. Swiftmoji
You already know about SwiftKey keyboard – one of the best keyboard apps on the Play Store. The same team of developers has come up with another amazing emoji-centric keyboard called Swiftmoji.
Swiftmoji has a very clean and simple looking keyboard and its main center of attraction is its emoji predictions. I tried Swiftmoji and the predictions were bang on spot most of the time.
It has nothing much to offer in customization grounds. There are two modes – Dark and Light and an option to change the accent color of the keyboard.
Although, it is a little less feature-packed but the developers were able to bring the awesomeness of Swiftkey to Swiftmoji.
It has an almost same set of features like what we see in Swiftkey. Flow typing, gesture typing, Voice input, support for physical keyboards and interesting stats like number of words predicted, number of taps, typing heatmap, etc.

Then why is it on this list? Because it lets you pick from 5 different emoji styles – Android Blob, Android Oreo, Twitter, Emoji One and iOS. But you need to download a tiny plugin to get them.
Customization options like theme colors, accent colors, bubble colors, bubble style, font and size of the font further enhances your overall experience of using this messaging app.
You can set a different icon color, LED Light, notification tone, vibration for every contact.
It has truck loads of other features like – GIF support, Schedule your SMS and MMS, Quick reply popup, pin-to-top, blacklisting and much more.

And don’t forget to share this list of best emoji apps with your family and friends.
I upgraded from the first LG Stylo to the Stylo 4. I thought my emojis would transfer, but they didn’t. The ones I have now are ugly and garish. I can’t use them because they don’t convey my feelings. They are distorted. I wish for my old ones back, but apparently that isn’t possible.
WOW! With all those emoji apps, there’s something for pretty much everyone. I downloaded Facemoji on my tablet. Very good app. I can finally put proper emoji into my Twitter posts instead of always creating emoticons. ☺
