Xiaomi India revenue crossed US$ 1 Billion last year

Xiaomi India's revenue

Manu Kumar Jain, in his latest facebook post, shared that Xiaomi India revenue crossed a whopping US$ 1 Billion in the year 2016. This figure was expected as Xiaomi’s success in India is hidden from none. Xiaomi has always believed that India is one of their best markets. And that’s the reason why they have been putting in a lot of efforts to perform well. With aggressive pricing, flash sales and great products, Xiaomi was able to capture the Indian market in just two years of time.

Some other facts..

Manu Kuma Jain also shared some other interesting facts in his post. He stated that Xiaomi is the first company to cross US$ 1 Billion mark in such a short period of time. He also said that Xiaomi was among the top 3 smartphone brands in Q3 2016 based on shipments. Xiaomi was able to sell more than 2 million smartphones for the first time in Q3 2016, achieving 150% Year-on-Year growth from Q3 2015 to Q3 2016.

He also mentioned that Xiaomi sold more than 2.3 million Redmi Note 3 in just 6 months, which makes it the most sold smartphone in the history of online smartphones industry. Redmi 3s, Redmi 3s prime and also Redmi Note 3 were hugely popular during Flipkart’s Big Billion Days and Amazon’s Diwali Shopping festival. They were #1 Bestseller devices on both of the e-commerce websites. Saying further about the popularity of Redmi 3s and Redmi Note 3, Manu Kumar Jain said that both of these devices were able to capture around 50% market share among top 10 phones in India.

Well, that certainly is a good news for Xiaomi but they must keep in mind that there is still room for improvement. Consumers have been constantly complaining about the poor After-Sales support. It has been a major issue for Xiaomi. In 2017 Xiaomi should put a step forward to fix the after-sales support issue. If Xiaomi puts some more effort in this department, they will reach new heights as this year passes.
